Upton – Get out and Vote

IMG_4338[1]Today Upton residents will vote in both the primary and  local elections.

Where and when ? Nipmuc High School, 90 Pleasant Street in the gym from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.

There are two contested races in town.

The first contested race is for the Upton school committee seat. No one pulled nominations papers so this is a write-in race. Grace Maneri and Elizabeth Fournier are both running for the seat and asked for your vote. Below are links to Grace and Elizabeth’s lettters requesting your vote.

Elizabeth Fournier – 31 Fiske Ave – write in on line provided

Grace Maneri – 69 Warren Street – write in on line provided

The second race is recently contested. Richard Robinson is the nominated candidate running for the Board of Health Position. Rick Binaco threw his hat in the race just 5 days ago when he announced he was running as a write-in candidate. You can click on Richard and Rick’s names for their letters requesting your vote.

Richard Robinson – just fill in the box, he is on the ballot

Rick Binaco  – 12 Fieldstone Street  – write in on line provided

There is no one running for the open Recreation Commission seat and no one has announced they are running.  Don’t be confused ~  this is not Mary Cortese’s position, Mary’s title is Recreation Director and from the emails received at uptondaily, the town of Upton loves Mary!

Oh, there is also a primary election for Massachusetts’ next Senator. On the Democratic side, voters are deciding between Edward Markey and Stephen Lynch. On the Republican side between Michael Sullivan, Gabriel Gomez and Daniel Winslow.
