James W. Cote, 85, of Grafton and formerly of Upton, died at home on Saturday, March 11, 2017 after an illness.
Jim was born in Shrewsbury, a son of the late Wilfrid and Marie (Lavoie) Cote. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and the owner of Blackstone Valley Survey & Engineering, who worked as a land surveyor throughout the area for 45 years.
He leaves three children, James E. Cote and his wife Roberta of Valrico, FL, Lee J. Cote of Upton, and Robin M. Allen of Grafton; his former wife, Rose (Morrison) Cote of Holliston; a brother, William Cote of NY; two sisters, Cecile Tod of Rutland and Patricia Loughlin of Sutton; three grandchildren, Jesse and Jeffrey Cote of FL and Nelson Allen of Grafton; a great-grandson Beau Cote of FL; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother John and sisters Helen and Marjorie.
Following cremation, a celebration of his life will be held in the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017. There are no calling hours.
