“I want to thank Jim Brochu for his six years of unwavering passion and commitment to the town,” said Craig.
“We have a $21 million annual operating budget and nearly $18 million in capital projects forecasted over the next six years. Roads are deteriorating and the demand on town and school services continues to be a challenge. My tenacity and leadership traits forged in the Marine Corps, professional experience in researching regulations and implementing policy and controls, and municipal experience acquired in Upton working with the school and town budgets have prepared me to make a positive difference for the people,” said Craig.
Craig is a member of the Upton Finance Committee and its liaison to the Mendon Upton Regional School District. He is also a former Chairman of the Mendon-Upton Multi-Board Task Force and is the current Commander of George L. Wood VFW Post 5594 in Upton.
Professionally, Craig has spent the majority of his career in the financial services industry. He worked for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) for over 8 years where he investigated broker-dealers for compliance with federal securities laws and FINRA rules and regulations. This included both routine as well as special investigations involving the review and discovery of money laundering, misrepresentation and fraud, embezzlement, insider trading and unsuitable investments. Today, Craig works in the Compliance Department of a large bank broker-dealer.
Craig earned his B.A. from Roanoke College, where he double majored in International Relations and Business, and an M.S. in Finance from Suffolk University in Boston.
I would be interested in specific opinions on the issues. Would he vote to repair roads? Give money to schools? Etc.
