Three Upton Boys Ride 31 Miles to Benefit the American Diabetes Association

On Sunday, May 21st three Upton Boys rode 31 miles for the North Shore Tour De Cure in Topsfield, MA; Slone Lozano, Dylan Smith, and Sean Remillard.

Stone is an Ambassador for the Tour De Cure and wants to help promote awareness to others. Dylan and Sean rode to support their friend Stone who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in September 2014.

Stone’s mom Crystal said “It was certainly a challenge but something they won’t soon forget doing together. Sean had never rode more than a mile and really did great riding 31 miles. And Dylan has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (1/2 heart) and it certainly did not hold him back riding 31 miles on a BMX trick bike!”

Slone’s team,  Like a Trick Bike, was cheered on by everyone. “It was priceless to see their excitement for their accomplishment,” Crystal said. “I’m so grateful they are good friends since the second grade.”

“We are so proud of them,” she said.

Stone has raised over $13,000 in the last 3 year to help support the American Diabetes Association.

Congratulation Slone, Dylan, and Sean!
