Upton Resident Chris Desilets Graduates Magma Cum Laude from Quinnipiac University

Chris Desilets

Chris Desilets, son of Barry and Violet Desilets of Upton, graduated Magma Cum Laude May 20th from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT with a BS in Economics. While at Quinnipiac Chris was active in Student Government. Chris served as the freshman and sophomore class presidents, Vice President of Finance for Student Government his junior year, and was Class Representative his senior year. Chris worked as an intern for the Campus Life organization, was a summer orientation leader, and was a founding member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Chris also won a number of academic awards at Quinnipiac; the Outstanding Freshman award, the Outstanding Academic Achievement by a Freshman award, the School of Business Albert H. Jente Memorial Prize awarded to the member of the Sophomore class who has done the most for his or her class through loyalty, cooperation, and teamwork, the Outstanding Sophomore award, and the Philip Troup Achievement Prize which is awarded to a graduating senior who has contributed most to the welfare of Quinnipiac through strength of character and qualities of leadership. Chris is also a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and traveled to South Africa, Korea, and Japan as part of his studies. Chris has accepted a position at Dell EMC in their Business Operations Leadership Development program and will start in June.
