Local Jump Rope Team Qualifies For The 2017 National Jump Rope Championships

The High Altitude Jump Rope Team recently qualified at the Regional Jump Rope Competition for the 2017 U.S. National Jump Rope Championships. The team will compete at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Kissimmee, Florida from June 27-July 1, 2017.

Team-High Altitude is not only a competitive team, they are also a demo team for the AHA performing at local colleges and charity fundraisers.

The group is made up of fourteen jump ropers from the Blackstone Valley region and range in age from eight to eighteen. Most members of team began jumping during a P.E. program sponsored by the American Heart Association. The passion for the sport continues to grow and so does the team.

The team recently participated in a community outreach program in Milford, MA, kicked off Jump Rope for heart in Westborough  elementary school system, and also performed in Harvard University and Stonehill College basketball half time shows
