Miscoe Hill Dodgeball Tournament – Special Thanks

Dodgeball 2013-29-2On Saturday March 10, 2013, Miscoe Hill students participated in the second annual Dodgeball Tournament. The event was organized by the Miscoe Sports Boosters and was very well attended, 22 teams entered for a chance to be the “Last Brave Standing”

The Miscoe Sports Boosters raised over $3,000 between concessions, team entry fees and raffles; which will go towards fixing the scoreboard in the gym, refinishing the gym floors and buying new mats for Track.

The 7th/8th grade winners played the Nipmuc Football volunteers, and the Miscoe players won. The football players had volunteered to officiate for the event.

Cheri Bukunt said in an email “The volunteers were the best addition to the event this year by far. They made the day so much safer, fun and fair for the players. They were great with the kids and commanded their respect.” The volunteers were Pat Robinson, Nick Becker, Nick Mignone, Justin Dauley, Deion Moore, and Kyle Braille.

The Miscoe Boosters would like to give a special thanks to their community sponsors: Mendon Diner/Kevin Meehan; Maple Farm Dairy, Wachusett Mountain, sports programs at Miscoe Hill School.
