Suspicious Van Child Alert

UPDATE: ACCORDING TO THE BELLINGHAM POLICE DEPARTMENT THE INCIDENT HAS BEEN RESOLVED, SUNDAY 6:50 P.M. 3/17.

The Bellingham Police Department has put notice on their BPD Youth Services facebook page the following. If you see this vehicle or see anything you believe is out of place please contact the police department of your town.

“Suspicious Van Child Alert”
I know some people have already heard about this incident that happened in the Whitehall Way area. A resident reported a suspicious White Van in the area offering kids candy to get inside. Keep a watch on Bus stop areas before and after school!!
We have not had any other reports of this happening but wanted everyone to be aware and if you see this van or any other vehicles that look out of place in your neighborhood please call the Police Department Immediately.

FYI regarding the White Van , I have also now heard of possible reports in Mendon & North Smithfield. They are of a white female operator in a White or Silver color van observing kids ineach sighting. Once again I ask you all to report anything out of place and if possible a License plate, State or color plate.
