Lauren is the author and illustrator of Once Upon a Flock: Life with My Soulful Chickens and will be spending the day at A Little Common Sense where she will sign books, talk about her quirky flock and sketch.
The book tells the tale of Lauren’s adventurous decision to raise chickens for fresh eggs. Her husband and daughter weren’t thrilled with her decision but once the chicks arrived they fell in love with bundles of fluff. The book is charming.
Lauren wrote the book for an adult audience but the book is finding a calling of its own being loved by people of all ages. Once Upon a Flock can be enjoyed by adults, young adults, young readers and would a fun and exciting book to read to your younger children. The illustrations are adorable.
