A home on 12 Oak Tree Drive, Milford was destroyed when a fire broke out early this morning. The Milford Police Department tweeted “family of five narrowly escapes fire with their lives, nothing else.” At this time the cause of the fire is unknown but the fire department believes it started on the front porch.
My brother’s family lives around the corner and were shocked their neighbors house was on fire, “they are a great family.” My nephew called the oldest son earlier today and said “he was pretty shook up, understandably.” The Dad smelled the fire and was able to get everyone out unharmed, including the dog.
This is the third major in this area in the last three weeks.
