Memorial School Celebrates National Library Week

Last week Memorial School celebrated National Library week. The staff and students read books to go along with a theme of the day.

o   Monday – Sports Day – Everyone dressed in sports attire and read books about sports

o   Tuesday – Beach/Summer Day –Everyone wore beach/summer clothes (Hawaiian/floral clothing and/or bright clothing, beach hats etc.) and read books about the summer or going to the beach.

o   Wednesday – Crazy Hat Day – It was crazy hats galore and the school read books about hats.

o   Thursday – Mixed-Up-Day – Everyone dressed crazy, wearing their their clothes backwards or inside out  and read  books about things that are mixed-up!

o   Friday  Crazy Hair Day – It was crazy… read books about crazy hair!

All children who were “caught” reading during lunchtime were entered in to a contest to be awarded the honor of Librarian for the day.

Enjoy the crazy hair and hat photos!
