Over 20-thousand of the world’s best runners will meet up in Hopkinton Monday morning for the oldest annual marathon in the world. And, that will include a handful from right here in Upton.
They run for many reasons, to raise money for a cause, in memory of a loved one, or to celebrate an 18th birthday like the”K Girls” from Mendon who are running as the first mother daughter team.
No matter what the reason, qualifying for the Boston Marathon in and of itself is amazing and when the runners cross the finish line they must feel like they can conquer the world.
So who’s running from Upton? Here is the updated list, as posted on the Boston Marathon site.
