Prayers

I can’t help think about how excited families were to travel to Boston for the marathon. How hard the runners trained to run for their passed loved one, to raise money for a cause or just to say I ran the Boston marathon. I keep thinking about the “K girls”; who were going to be the first women team to run the Boston marathon. Did they finish, are they okay!

A joyous day turned in to horror. Death, amputees, and many scarred for life physically and emotionally.

Tonight I go to sleep and say prayers for those whose lives will be changed forever because of the attack today, for the first responders and for the witnesses.

  1. Three of our close friends were across the street from the second bomb. One called me immediately after it happened and I asked me to pray. I could hear the shock in his voice. He said the scene was horrific . He could not find his wife and her friend who were running. I thank God they are all ok. you are truly right it has left a scare on all of them. I hope we all keep praying. I pray for justice, peace in all our hearts and healing. Thanks for being a voice Jen.

  2. So true Jen, I have the same things running through my head. I feel for the families of victims and for the children hurt and the 8 year old boy killed 😦 Just breaks my heart into a million pieces. How horrible. This truly is an act of terror. We can’t let them win. We can’t be terrorized. For every person whose heart lives in darkness there are at least 100 others who are heroes rushing in to the aid of others, rushing in to heal and help. there is truly more light in the world than darkness and evil. We can’t let the evil people win by living in fear and terror. I pray for those souls who live in darkness, who are suffering so much that they could resort to this kind of atrocity. I pray for the people who had to witness this violence, who will be traumatized, that they can heal and that so much good and light will flood their lives and restore their faith in humanity. We as humans are capable of so much damage. Yet there is also the capacity for love and for real healing to occur. I pray for our community and for all of Massachusetts,
