Grafton News: Fires Along Railroad Tracks Keep Firefighters Running

Grafton News is reporting a brush fire along the railroad tracks in Grafton today was thought be started by sparks of a passing train. For the full story go here.

The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement stating the recent dry weather pattern has created unsafe burning conditions causing the primary fuels for wild land fires. Leaves and brush become dangerously dry and susceptible to ignition.

Upton’s open fire permit season ended yesterday afternoon.
