I’VE BEEN HACKED *** updated @ 1:00 p.m.

I am able to receive emails now. If you received the hacked email asking or $2,350 please note the reply to address was not jennupton@yahoo.com, but another address not linked to me. I think my account is now clean, but I have lost my entire contact book and emails. If you emailed me with uptondaily stuff today please resend it. If I do not respond to you by the end of the day that means I didn’t get it. If I am suppose to contact you and I haven’t it could be because I no longer have your information. I have emailed yahoomail and requested they restore my mail.

How did I get hacked? I foolishly responded to an email I thought was sent to me from yahoomail asking me to veriify and relogin because I had exceeded my limit, I did have over 2000 emails in my inbox (I’m terrible about cleaning out my inbox.)

If you receive a message like this in the future be warned. Also if you receive a message from a friend requesting money be careful, is the reply address the same as the email the message was sent from? If it’s not the same it’s the first sign that something is wrong.

I would also like to thank everyone who called me this morning to let me know I had been hacked, I truly appreciated the call.

Good Morning uptondaily readers,

My personal email account has been hacked. I changed my password, and I am  able to see my address book to let my contacts know. I have tons of contacts in my address book because my account was set up to automatically save email addresses. I have the entire nipmuc youth football and cheer contacts from when I coached cheer several years ago, I have old softball contacts, jazzercise contacts, miscoe hill youth theater contact, basically anyone who has ever emailed me or I have emailed or replied to a group was in my contacts.

Also I am not receiving any emails. If you wish to contact me leave a comment on this post.

Do not open or respond to anything from jennupton@yahoo.com until I figure out how to fix it.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Jennifer
