No Foul Play Suspected in Death in Pratt Pond

 

UPTON — No foul play is suspected in the death of a 48-year-old woman whose body was recovered yesterday afternoon from Pratt Pond not far from where she lived, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

Sheryl Mayo of 10 Kiwanis Beach Road had been reported missing to police at 3:10 p.m. A short time later her body was found about 15 feet from shore behind her home. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

Her death remains under investigation by the State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and the Upton Police.
