Grafton Passes Local Meal Tax

moneyExpect to pay a little more when dining out in Grafton.

At the Grafton Annual Town Meeting residents approved an article imposing a local meal tax.  The Town of Grafton will now be able to add the local tax on top of the already imposed state tax on sales of restaurant meals at a rate of .75 percent of the gross receipts.

Grafton is now one of many towns to have imposed the local meal tax and expects to gain approximately $100,000 in revenue.
