Madeleine LaPlante-Dube, who just graduated from Nipmuc High School, was asked to contribute a piece to the Boston Strong concert held on May 30, 2013. Maddie received this honor because of another piece she wrote, “Boston Bombings: Week Anniversary,” which was emotionally charged and thought provoking.
Madeleine’s piece for the Boston Strong concert was placed in the program; 20,000 programs were printed and distributed at the event.
Madeleine will be studying journalism and writing at the Miami University of Ohio this fall.
