My name is Jennifer Convery. I am a mother of 2 teenage boys and I live in Milford. Barbara Wolken – Academic Enrichment Center
My name is Barbara Wolken and I own and operate the Academic Enrichment Center right here in Upton. I have lived in Upton for 21 years and have operated my tutoring center here since 2002. Prior to that, my centers were located in Newton and Lexington. Typically, my students range between the first and ninth grades. The general focus is on the necessary fundamental skills (reading, writing, math, and study/organization), however each student has an individualized program designed to meet specific goals tailored to his/her needs. I am open all year so that I can coordinate skill-building with the curriculum and with homework during the school months. The summer is a great time to practice and solidify previously learned material and/or to gain exposure to the next year’s expectations. I also offer a full academic evaluation to give parents and students a comprehensive baseline on skill mastery and a better understanding of their learning style preferences.
