The New England Patriots announced they are offering anyone with an Aaron Hernandez jersey the opportunity to exchange it for a free jersey of comparable value on July 6 and 7 at the Patriot’s Pro Shop. Earlier this week Hernandez was charged with murder. Patriots spokesman Stacey James said, “We know that children love wearing their Patriots jerseys but may not understand why parents don’t want them wearing the Hernandez jersey. We hope this opportunity to exchange those jerseys at the Patriots Pro Shop for another player’s jersey will be well received by parents.”
Today the Aaron Hernandez Jerseys are considered a collectible items on Ebay and are selling for more than their original price. The highest priced jersey is listed at $4,000.00.
