Do you have old metal items which you don’t know what to do with? Joff’s Junk, of Upton, scraps metal for a living and is recommended by the Upton Board of Health for scrap metal removal. Why pay $35 for a sticker to have your washing machine picked up when Joff will pick it up for free? Joff has been scrapping metal for 40 years and added the heavy metal scrapping about 10 years ago. Anything with metal in it he will pick up. Some examples are:
- washers
- dryers
- fans
- computer towers
- gas grills
- charcoal grills
- lawnmowers – sit/push
- air conditioners
As long as it has metal in it he can scrap it. He will pick of refrigerators but recommends you call National Grid at 877-545-4113 because National Grid will pay you $50 for your old working fridge. Joff will not pick up old televisions.
So don’t be foolish like me, I’ve saved that type of stuff and then called a trash removal company to take it away. Next time I’m calling Joff’s Junk at 508-529-6177. Joff primarily only removes metal scrap as a service for Upton but has gone to other towns.
