Best Beaches

IMG_7458With the return of school just around the corner I find myself trying to plan out a few more beach trips. I love the beach, my hubby not so much…. well not at all… so we don’t make him go. He is one of those people who doesn’t like to get wet and doesn’t like the sand.

I just don’t understand how you can’t LOVE the beach. My favorite time to go is around 2 p.m. and stay until the early evening. I really enjoy the beach at night, it’s quiet and the sand is cool.  At night I don’t even need a chair or a blanket. I can just plop myself down in the sand, I love the feel of the cool sand on my feet. Well, it has to be the right kind of sand. I’m sure you know the kind I am talking about, soft, silky, super fine sand.

I’m not a great swimmer so waveless beaches are not my cup of tea. If I could swim like the women who put on their bathing caps and swim laps in the ocean I would probably feel differently. I may not be swimming laps but I am a boogie board gal and I’m not afraid to get my hair wet. If you know me you know my hair looks crazy at the beach wet or dry, so I might as well go all in.

Anyway, the point of this post is to find out your favorite beaches….

Take the poll. Add your favorite (in the space provided under other), but only beaches you can drive to for a day trip. I have just put a few in to start.

Please don’t check other without writing in a beach name.. 🙂 and you can vote for more than one!

updated 8:40 a.m.   for some reason the poll isn’t letting you add…uugh, so if there is a beach which isn’t listed check other and if you wouldn’t mind, name the beach in the comments
