Upton’s DPW director and town manager attended a meeting in Bellingham last week regarding traffic, water, and sewer relating to the proposed casino in Milford. The DPW director and town manager continue to bring forward the Town’s concerns on traffic and it’s impact on Upton. Blythe Robinson, Upton town manager, expressed at the August 20 selectmen meeting, “Frankly we are a little suspect that Hopkinton Road would only have a 1.38 percent increase in traffic due to the casino.”
The next meeting to take place regarding the casino will be on safety and other social issues. Police Chief Bradley will attend the meeting on the Town’s behalf to discuss those topics and how they might impact Upton.
