Five Nipmuc students have been recognized as Commended Students for their achievement on the PSAT. In 2012 over 1.5 million students participated in the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Test (PSTA/NMSQT). The PSAT standardized test is offered by the College Board for students to have the opportunity to prepare for the SAT and also used to review college readiness. Students who perform in the top 5 percent of all test takers qualify for a chance to receive a merit scholarship through the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
Mr. Clements, Nipmuc Regional High School Principal wrote, ” I was proud to inform seniors Jesse Arsenault, Samuel Chiburis, Maia Hibbett, Kayleigh Kearnan, and Laura Ng that they are receiving this award. This achievement distinguishes them not only in our school, but also in our state and nationally as exceptional students.”
Nipmuc Regional High School also announced 51 students of the class of 2014 who qualified to receive the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship for their high academic achievement on the MCAS tests.
