Dorothy O. (Kenadek) Shackleton, 90, died Thurs., Oct. 24, 2013 in Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northbridge after a period of declining health. She was the widow of Fred Shackleton, who died in 1977.
Mrs. Shackleton was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ora (Salisbury) Kenadek. A graduate of Becker College, she had lived in Upton over 60 years and attended Trinity Episcopal Church in Milford. She worked in the West Upton hat industry and then as an aide for the VNA.
She leaves her daughter, Gail Ames of Upton; a brother, Donald Kenadek of Uxbridge; two grandchildren, Tara Ames-Davison of Brentwood, CA, and Christopher Ames of Upton; and a great-grandson, Camden Davison. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton.
