What is being reported as a 50 car 3 tractor trailer accident will have route 290 west bound closed for the next 2 hours. A fire engine was struck at the scene and it’s been reported 28 people are being treated for injuries.
The route 495 area near the Lowell Connector is closed due to icy conditions.
Mass transit is reporting the roads will be finished being treated within the next hour of two. They are advising residents to stay off the roads until that time.
