Edaville Polar Express was AWESOME!

If you are looking for a little holiday magic think about visiting the Edaville Polar Expresss. Tammi Yiakoumatos recently did and said it was “AWESOME!”

The Polar Express experience was added to  Edaville Railroad in 2011 and brings alive the beloved holiday story. In a magical 40-minute train ride you will be treated to costumed characters and an experience that promises to delight the young-at-heart.

Tammi said, “The lights are gorgeous.” She made sure to arrive to the park early to go on the rides and had time to go on two before getting in line for the train. Santa was in the play area near the ball pit and was available for photos.

“It’s much less expensive than Woonsocket and Newport, because there isn’t any real acting,” Tammy said, but she also noted Santa did not engage as much with the kids and adults as she has experienced at other Polar Express type events.

Tammy suggests riding on the left side of the train (your left if facing the steam engine). There are lights are on both side of the track throughout the ride but the North Pole and Santa are on the left.

Santa comes on the train at the North Pole, which Tammy said is lit up beautifully, where he hands out the bell for the kids to ring.

Tammy said, “There is a real steam train using coal now, and it’s fantastic. I would and will do it again. They LOVED it. When we got off the train the lights just were spectacular.”

The park includes vintage amusement rides such as an antique carousel and an illuminated Ferris Wheel.

Edaville Railroad is located in Carver, MA; which is about an hour from Upton. The railroad is owned by Jon Delli Priscoli (owner of the Grafton Upton Railroad).
