Upton Daily is holding its first ever Christmas Tree Contests. Readers submitted photos of their Christmas/Hanukkah tress. The top five trees are waiting for your votes. Friday DEC 20

Christmas by Candlelight – 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Old Sturbridge Village Escape the frenzy of a modern Christmas with an enchanted evening of gingerbread, roasted chestnuts, music, dance, and a sleigh ride (weather permitting). Meet Father Christmas and chat with Santa Claus (bring your camera!).

Home for the Holidays – 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Experience the wonder of the holiday season with  decorations evocative of 1960s and 1860s throughout the period rooms of Salisbury Mansion. See the various ways the holidays have been celebrated throughout the decades as you tour Salisbury Mansion by candlelight. Bring the family for an evening you won’t forget!

Boy Scout Christmas Tree Sale – 9 a.m to 5 p.m. final  (or until sold out) trees will be discounted to $25 each (a $15  – $20 savings). Wreath will be on sale, 1 for $10 and 2 for $15.  The sale is being held at the VFW on Rt. 140 in Upton
