The public is invited to attend a free FAFSA Day Massachusetts event being held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Blackstone Valley Tech’s 65 Pleasant Street campus in Upton.
Parents and students looking for free assistance completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are encouraged to attend FAFSA Day at BVT. The FAFSA is the federally required form for students seeking federal and state financial aid, including grants and loans at colleges throughout the nation. FAFSA Day at BVT is being held as a part of the Massachusetts College Goal Sunday Program, a non-profit, volunteer driven program in its 10th year providing free assistance to students and
families seeking to complete the FAFSA.
FAFSA Day at BVT will provide participants with free one-on-one assistance from experienced financial aid administrators and FAFSA experts, as well as access to computers and Spanish translators. Whether a family has already started the FAFSA or will be seeing the application for the first time, they can expect to submit a completed FAFSA by the end of the afternoon. In addition, participants will leave the event with better knowledge of the overall financial aid process and an outline of what to do once a FAFSA is filed.
Students AND parents planning on attending FAFSA Day at BVT are reminded to EACH bring:
●FAFSA Pin (available at http://www.pin.ed.gov)
