National Weather Service issues hazardous weather conditions warning for Thursday

snowIt’s New England and that rodent Phil wasn’t messing around when he predicted six more weeks of winter.

A hazardous weather conditions warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for Thursday February 13 as a snow storm moves into the area. The storm may potentially produce up to a foot of heavy snow.

There is the potential for less snow if the snow/rain line moves further inward.  At this time most weather models are predicting all snow for Upton. The snow/rain line is anticipated to fall somewhere between Route 495 and Route 128.

Snow will begin to fall  Thursday morning and will be wet and heavy. The wet snow will make shoveling difficult and may result in power outages with added weight to tree limbs and power lines.

The storm will be over sometime early Friday morning.
