Friendly service at BVT’s Three Season Restaurant
Residents of the Blackstone Valley are invited to dine on such dishes as house made potato gnocchi with delicate beurre fondue, pan seared duck breast with cherry sauce, and crème brulee with mixed berry compote during a gourmet dinner at the Three Seasons Restaurant at Blackstone Valley Tech, 65 Pleasant Street in Upton.
The three-course event scheduled for February 27, 2014 was spearheaded by BVT Culinary Arts senior Brittany Rovedo as a fundraiser for this year’s Senior Class trip. In order to attend the trip, which will consist of a culinary tour of Cape Cod, seniors must log a minimum of five hours of community service at a designated event. With the school year winding down and some students in need of a few more hours, Rovedo thought a gourmet dinner would be an ideal way for the seniors to raise some money, earn community service hours, and put their culinary skills to the test.
“Each of the gourmet dishes will be a great challenge for us,” Rovedo said. “It will be so cool to get all the seniors together and put to work everything we’ve learned over the past four years.”
Culinary Arts Team Leader Chef Matthew Williams worked closely with Rovedo and her classmates on developing the gourmet menu, which will be prepared by members of the Senior Class and trained chefs from the Culinary Arts instructional team. Tickets for the Three Seasons Restaurant three-course gourmet dinner on February 27, 2014 are available at a cost of $35.00 per person, with all proceeds and gratuities benefiting the Culinary Arts Senior Class.
“Fundraisers of this nature are just one of the many student revenue generating approaches Valley Tech employs versus reliance upon student extracurricular fees,” stated Superintendent-Director Dr. Michael Fitzpatrick.
Patrons of the BVT gourmet dinner have the option of being seated on the half hour from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Reservations can be made by contacting:
