School Resource Officer Carl Ambrosino honored with “Exceptional Service Award”

On April 8, 2014 School Resource Officer Carl Ambrosino was presented with the “Exceptional Service Award” by the Massachusetts Juvenile Police Officer’s Association (MJPOA). Officer Ambrosino received the award during a ceremony at the MJPOA 9th Annual School Safety Conference, after being nominated by his peers for his work as Upton’s School Resource and Juvenile Officer. According to Chief Michael J. Bradley, Jr., who was present for ceremony, “Officer Ambrosino has dedicated himself to create a partnership between the Police Department and our school systems. Carl’s ability and desire to develop and sustain positive relationships between the Upton Police Department, Mendon-Upton Regional School District and Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School has not only resulted in increased safety, but has created a climate of mutual support for the well-being of our students
