Nimpuc’s Jaclyn Cortese pitches 18 Innings – Girls Varsity Softball Nipmuc 0 – Grafton 1

jaclynGuess what….losing isn’t fun but it doesn’t mean your team did not have a great performance.

Last night Nipmuc played a grueling 18 innings against Grafton led by Nipmuc Senior Jaclyn Cortese who pitched 17.2 innings striking out seven with 42 first strike pitches.

Cortese walked two and held the 2012 and 2013 State Champion Grafton team to just one run.

After pitching for several hours on a sprained ankle, Cortese wasn’t done for the night.  She had just enough time to scoot to Nipmuc Regional High School where she was honored with a second place award for her Photography Portfolio in the Nipmuc Fine Arts Show.
