What to do around Upton this weekend

gotothezooMonday, May 26, is Memorial Day, and the holiday means some businesses and other places in town will be closed.

Specifically, Town Hall will be closed in Upton,  along with liquor stores, which are closed on Memorial Day due to Massachusetts state law.

Municipal, state and federal offices, schools, libraries, and bank are closed. The post office is closed with express delivery only. Supermarkets and convenience stores are open. Retail stores, restaurants, and bars are open at the owner’s discretion.

Southwick’s Zoo is open all weekend and the Mendon Twin Drive In is under new management and now offers a beer/wine garden and is serving Fuddruckers Burgers.

Looks like there will be showers around on Saturday/Sunday and Monday looks like a perfect day to have a parade.

Thank you John Reed for this weeks image titled Go to the Zoo
