Upton Weather – Return of showers and storms to start and end the work week, but a promising weekend in store

The ridge of high pressure that brought nice weather conditions to the region over this past weekend will begin to break down and move offshore late on Sunday.  At the same time, a disturbance will move out of the Ohio River Valley and weaken as it moves into our area starting late tomorrow. This disturbance will be associated with a few showers and isolated storms from late Monday through the day Tuesday.

A ridge of high pressure will build back in from the north on Wednesday, providing a brief break from the showers and storms. On the heels, another storm system will move in from the Great Lakes Thursday night and linger through Saturday morning with more showers and storms.

A ridge of high pressure will build back in across the region from the west on Saturday and continue to bring nice weather to the region into early next week.

Tonight: Partly cloudy.  Low temperature around 64F. Winds from the west-southwest at 10-15mph.

Monday, June 9^th: Partly cloudy in the morning, then becoming mostly cloudy by the afternoon with a slight chance of isolated showers and storms. High temperature around 80F. Light winds from the south.

Monday Night:  Mostly cloudy with a stray shower or storm possible. Patchy fog possible by the morning. Low temperature around 60F. Winds from the south at 5-10 mph.

Tuesday, June 10^th:  Patchy fog possible in the morning.  Mostly cloudy withScattered showers and storms, mainly in the afternoon/evening. High temperature around 75. Low temperature around 60F.

Wednesday, June 11^th: Patchy fog possible in the morning. Partly cloudy. High temperature around 74F. Low temperature around 56F. 

Thursday, June 12^th: Patchy fog possible in the morning. Mostly cloudy with isolated showers and storms, mainly in the evening and overnight. High temperature around 71F. Low temperature around 60F. 

Friday, June 13^th: Scattered showers and storms, mainly in the afternoon and evening. High temperature around 75F. Low temperature around 61F. 

Weekend outlook: As of now, there may be some showers and storms diminishing on Saturday morning. Things look to clear out later in the day with some breaks of sun by the afternoon. Mostly sunny skies are likely for the day Sunday.  High temperatures will range in the 70s for both days.
