Upton Weather: unsettling and stormy mid week will give way to pleasant weather for the Upton Fire Works

Ridge of high pressure that brought us nice weather for Fathers Day will begin to break down.  A weak disturbance along a warm front will move through the area on Tuesday, resulting in isolated rain showers and storms. Also, it will begin to feel humid behind this warm frontal passage.

Afterward, a cold front will move through the region on Wednesday, resulting in scattered showers and storms.  As the cold front moves south of the region late Wednesday into Thursday, it will stall and become a stationary front stretching across the Ohio River Valley to the Mid Atlantic. This will result in showers and storms forming along this boundary. At the same time, a ridge of high pressure over Quebec will build in and provide dry weather for the region on Thursday and Friday.

The weekend is looking dry as of now. High pressure will be in control for much of the region, with the exception of northern Maine and the Canadian Maritimes where a disturbance will swing through that area.
