Kenne is pretty darn excited about the weather forecast for this weekend
by Meteorologist Jeb Postle
Overview: A cold front that moved through the area yesterday morning with thunder, lightning, and heavy rain has stalled to the south of our area, stretching across parts of the Midwest to the Ohio River Valley and Mid Atlantic. At the same time, clouds and isolated showers/storms found this morning are associated with a weak disturbance that is moving along the stationary front and brushing the area. This weak disturbance will move out of the area by midday.
A ridge of high pressure will begin to build in later today and linger into the weekend. This will result in dry weather, as the area will remain north of the stationary front (boundary). This will also bring comfortable temperatures to the area, as light northerly winds will be present.
Today, June 19th: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and storms, mainly to the south of the area during the morning. Breaks of sun by the afternoon. High temperature around 81F. Light winds from the northwest.
Tonight: Mostly clear. Low temperature around 55F. Light winds from the north-northwest.
Friday, June 20th: Mostly sunny in the morning, then becoming partly cloudy by the afternoon. High temperature around 76 F. Light winds from the northwest.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy. Low temperature around 54F. Winds from the northwest switching to from the north-northeast at 5-10mph.
Saturday, June 21st: Mostly sunny. High temperature around 75F. Low temperature around 53F.
Sunday, June 22nd: Partly cloudy. High temperature around 77F. Low temperature around 55F.
