Overview: An area of high pressure that brought the beautiful weather this past weekend will begin to gradually breakdown over the region tomorrow, as a storm system will move in from the Midwest.

A hazy, hot, and humid air mass will move into the region ahead of our next storm system beginning on Monday. A warm front will move through the region late Tuesday into Wednesday, associated with a few isolated showers and storms as it passes through the area. Afterward, a cold front will move through the region late Thursday into early Friday. A better threat of pronounced showers and storms are likely, along with some downpours.

As the cold front clears through the area Friday morning, it will slow down and stall to the south of New England. At the same time, a ridge of high pressure will build in from the west. As of now, it looks mostly dry if you are attending the Boston Independence Day festivities or any other local festivities. There will be a better chance of a few showers and storms to the south of our area, across coastal southern New England. The weekend is looking gorgeous, with mostly sunny skies and comfortable temperatures.
