The Upton Board of Health wishes to announce that we will once again be ordering wheeled recycling barrels for residential use. These barrels are similar to the durable Upton trash barrels but will hold 64 gallons vs. the 96 gallon trash barrels. The barrels have the capacity to hold four times as much as the original issued recycling bins and will have a lid to prevent recycling from blowing onto our streets. The cost for residents to purchase the barrel is at a reduced contract rate of $42.34, which must be prepaid before an order can be placed. Deadline to purchase the barrels is August 16, 2014. Please see Diane at the Upton Board of Health office, 1 Grove Street, Upton, MA or mail a check or money order in the amount of $42.34 to the Upton Board of Health, 1 Main Street, Box 3, Upton, MA 01568 to order your barrel.
