Upton Weather Outlook 07/13/2014

A ridge of high pressure that brought nice weather to the region late in the work week through this weekend will begin to break down, as a storm system will move in from the Great Lakes later today.

Showers and storms will form and develop through early Wednesday, as the storm system will move through the region. Some storms may be severe and contain heavy downpours.

On the heels of a cold front moving through the region Wednesday morning, a ridge of high pressure will begin to build in late on Wednesday. Expect dryer weather and more comfortable temperatures through the end of the workweek.

As of now, the upcoming weekend looks mostly dry. There may be a slight chance of showers and storms on Saturday.

Today, July 13^th: Mostly sunny in the morning, then becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon. High temperature around 84F. Winds from the south-southwest at 10-15mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and storms moving in during the evening and overnight. Some locally heavy downpours possible. Patchy fog possible in the morning. Low temperature around 68F. 50 percent chance of precipitation. Winds from the south-southwest at 5-10mph.

Sunday, July 14^th: Patchy fog possible in the morning. Mostly cloudy with showers and storms, mainly in the afternoon. Some storms may be severe. Locally heavy downpours likely. 70 percent chance of precipitation. High temperature around 81F.  Winds from the south-southwest at 5-10mph.

Sunday Night:  Mostly cloudy with showers and storms, mainly in the evening. Some storms may be severe.  Some locally heavy downpours likely. 70 percent chance of precipitation. Patchy fog possible in the morning.  Low temperature around 69F. Winds from the south at 5-10mph.

Monday, July 15^th: Patchy fog possible in the morning. Mostly cloudy with a Chance of showers and storms, mainly in the morning.  Some locally heavy downpours possible. A chance of showers and storms in the afternoon. 70 percent chance of precipitation.  High temperature around 83F.

Monday Night:  Partly cloudy with a Chance of showers and storms. 50 percent chance of precipitation. Some locally heavy downpours possible. Low temperature around 64F.  Winds from the south at 5-10mph.

Tuesday, July 16^th: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and storms, mainly in the morning. A few breaks of sun possible in the afternoon and early evening. 30 percent chance of precipitation. High temperature around 80F. Low temperature around 60F.

Wednesday, July 17^th: Partly cloudy. High temperature around 81F. Low temperature around 59F.
