Today Marty Lamb, Chairman of TanktheGasTax.net PAC, endorsed Shawn Craig for State Representative in the 9th Worcester District.
“Craig has pledged that, when elected, he will vote to repeal the gas tax being linked to inflation. Shawn understands that Massachusetts taxpayers already pay enough in taxes and that there needs to be spending reforms. I am pleased to endorse Shawn Craig for State Representative,” said Lamb. “Shawn will never vote in favor of taxation without representation.”
Lamb was one of the original Chairmen of the Yes on 1 ballot initiative to repeal automatic gas tax hikes. He left the organization when the Office of Campaign and Political Finance prohibited the ballot initiative from educating voters regarding which legislators were supporters and which were opponents. In response, Lamb left the organization to form the TanktheGasTax.net PAC which can educate voters on the voting records of incumbents.
“We elect our officials to take the hard votes, not to abdicate their responsibilities. This is taxation without representation. The indexing of our taxes is a dangerous precedent that must be stopped now. As a veteran, people can trust me to protect their wallets,” Craig stated.
