A ridge of high pressure will build over the region and linger through early Sunday, providing mostly sunny skies and comfortable temperatures ranging in the 70s to around 80F.
The first half of the holiday weekend is looking great, with mostly sunny skies. Clouds will begin to move in late Sunday morning-afternoon, as a storm system will move in from the Great Lakes along a frontal boundary. This storm system will continue to meander through the region Monday through Wednesday, providing a renewed threat of showers and storms during the afternoon and evening hours of each day.

Friday, August 29th: Mostly sunny. High temperature around. Light and variable winds. High temperature around 73F.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy. Patchy fog possible toward daybreak. Low temperature around 57F. Light winds form the southeast.
Saturday, August 30th: Patchy fog possible. Mostly sunny. High temperature around. 79F. Low temperature around 62F . Winds from the west-southwest at 5-10 mph.
Sunday, August 31st: Partly cloudy with increasing clouds in the afternoon-evening with a chance of showers and storms, mainly after 2 P.M. 50 percent chance of rain. High temperature around 84F. Low temperature around 67
Labor Day, September 1st: Partly cloudy with a chance of showers and storms, mainly in the afternoon-evening. 30 percent chance of rain. High temperature around 82F. Low temperature around 64F.
Tuesday, September 2nd: Partly cloudy with a chance of showers and storms, mainly in the in afternoon-evening. 30 percent chance of rain. High temperature around 83F. Low temperature around 66F.
