A disturbance will move along a stationary front to the north of the area today, providing another threat of showers and storms this afternoon into the evening. A weak cold front will move through the region tomorrow, associated with a smaller threat of showers and storms.
Behind the cold front, a ridge of high pressure will build in over the region and linger through Friday. Dry weather and comfortable temperatures around 80 degrees will be evident. Late on Friday into Saturday, a cold front will move through and stall to the south of the region. Another threat of showers and storms is possible with this frontal passage. Behind this front, some of the first hints of fall are possible for the region with cool and dry weather.
