SUMMER WARMTH CONTINUES THROUGH SATURDAY, THEN A COOL DOWN ON SUNDAY INTO NEXT WEEK

A ridge of high pressure centered to the south and east of the region will continue to provide dry weather and warm temperatures through the day Saturday. A cold front will move through the region on Saturday, providing a threat of showers and storms to the region. Some storms may be severe and contain some heavy downpours.

Auspicious weather will return to the region, as a ridge of high pressure will build in and center to the east of the region. This set up will allow for dry and cool-comfortable temperatures beginning on Sunday and continuing into mid next week.

Forecast:

Saturday, September 6th: Patchy fog possible in the morning. Partly cloudy with a chance of showers and storms, mainly after 2 PM. 40 percent chance of rain. Some storms may be severe and contain heavy downpours. High temperature around 85F. Winds from the southwest at 5-10 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy with a chance of showers and storms, mainly before 10 PM. 50 percent chance of rain. Some storms may be severe and contain heavy downpours. Low temperature around 60F. Winds from the southwest switching to from the northwest at 5-10 mph.

Sunday, September 7th: Mostly sunny. High temperature around 74F. Winds from the north-northwest at 5-10 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear. Low temperature around 54F.

Monday, September 8th: Mostly sunny. High temperature around 73F. Low temperature around 51F.

Tuesday, September 9th: Mostly sunny. High temperature around 71F. Low temperature around 53F.

Wednesday, September 10th: Mostly sunny during the day, then becoming mostly cloudy during the afternoon-evening with a chance of showers and storms. 20 percent chance of rain. High temperature around 72F. Low temperature around 61F.
