AM radio station WMRC is reporting Matthew McConaughey will be filming in Mendon tonight!
Filming is reported to start at around 10 p.m. at the Miss Mendon Diner and Imperial Gas Station. New England Steakhouse is being used as a base camp. Those who wish to avoid the hoopla should stay clear of the area.
McConaughey is filming on Gus Van Sant’s new movie Sea of Trees, co-starring Ken Watanabe (well known for playing Lord Katsumoto Moritsugu in The Last Samurai ) and Naomie Watts. The crew has filmed in several locations in Massachusetts including Purgatory Chasm and Clark University in Worcester.
The story is about an American man who travels to the “Suicide Forest” in Japan. He meets a Japaneses man while there and together they begin a journey of self-reflection.
