The Upton Police Department presented the “Office Phil Show” at Memorial School in Upton. The show teaches kids about stranger danger, the negative effects of bullying, fire safety, and internet safety.
In additional to teaching safety, the program encourages positive behavior like honesty, friendship, being a buddy and not a bully, civic responsibilities, and knowing what to do in an emergency just to name a few.
Memorial Principal Debra Swain said, “The students loved the “Officer Phil Show.” Presenter, J.T., does a great job incorporating magic, puppets, and a game show approach to teaching kids about respect and safety. His topics are always current and relative for our young students. We look forward to this presentation every year.”
The program was made possible by generous donations from the business community.
