Memorial School in Upton was challenged by Clough School in Mendon to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. On September 4, 2014, Memorial School Principal Debra Swain took the challenge for the “team” in return she challenged students, staff, and parents to contribute money to ALS.

The school community took on the challenge to raise funds for the ALS Association and raised $1,577.84.

Swain said, “The money was donated by all members of the school and community and continues to come in. Needles to say, we are proud and excited to be able to make such a great donations to the ALS Association.”

Watch the video below to see Mrs. Swain take the challenge – the best part is hearing the over 450 kids cheer.
