Today is World Smile Day — a holiday created in 1999 by Harvey Ball, the man who created the big yellow smiley face in 1963. Did you know that the iconic smiley face was created by a Worcester resident?
Since 1999, the first Friday of every October has been dedicated to smiling, and making others smile.
When he created the holiday, Ball asked that everyone do one act of kindness to make someone else smile.
