On Tuesday October 7, 2014 the Upton Selectmen will  be voting on the final policy for snow removal for private ways.

The policy outlines the standards which need to be met in order to have private ways be considered for snow removal.

Surface condition, height, clearance, and obstacles that are identified as obstructions to safe, cost-effective snow and ice removal operations are some of the consideration.

This policy will apply to all named private ways in the Town of Upton that have been designated by the Board of Selectmen. Unnamed ways or ways that are common driveways are not eligible for snow removal services.
