Words don’t always tell truths but Reil knows votes reveal reality

Mark Reil is running for State Representative and is speaking out on two recent headlines in the news regarding illegal immigration.

Recently, The Milford Daily News released an article regarding 30 unaccompanied minors that have been introduced into the Milford High School. The unforeseen increase of students is impacting the education system, resulting in the need to certify several teachers in educating students that lack English language skills. Mark Reil agrees with Milford School Committee Chairman Scott Harrison who said the school system is “unfairly burdened” and that because the State requires school systems to take on the burden but fails to provide the funds to deal with the problem.

On October 23^rd ,2014 at the Citizens for Milford Candidates Forum Rep. Fernandes claimed that he is “taking a serious stand on illegal immigration” and challenged people to reach out the MIRA (Massachusetts Immigration and Refuge Advocacy Coalition) because he claimed they opposed him moving up the ranks in the Judiciary committee because of the strong stance he took on illegal immigration.

On October 29^th, 2014 the State House News Service released an article titled “MIRA DISPUTES REP’S CLAIM THAT THEY BLOCKED HIS PROMOTION”. A quote from MIRA regarding this claim from Fernandes was “First we heard of it”.

“Ultimately it doesn’t matter what Rep. Fernandes says or what MIRA says. What does matter is how this issue affects people in our communities. It is time action is taken to protect the people of the 10^th Worcester District and the Commonwealth.”

Maureen Laquerre tragically lost her brother in a motor vehicle accident involving an illegal immigrant driver. Maureen personally knows the negative effects of illegal immigration within our community. Maureen said  “I know Mark Reil will be the voice we need to protect tax payers and send a strong message to Beacon Hill that the time for action must be now. If you feel that Beacon Hill must act on the effects of illegal immigration, he is the candidate to vote for on November 4^th.”

Mark Reil says “On November 4^th the choice is clear, vote for me to send a strong message to Beacon Hill that you want a Reil Change! Or vote for Representative Fernandes to continue on with the status quo.”
